INJA is an online platform for discovery and coordination only. We are not an event organizer, security provider, transport provider, emergency service, insurer, or venue operator. Users and hosts are responsible for their own decisions, conduct, safety precautions, permissions, venue rules, legal compliance, and interactions with other people.
5. User Content
5.1 Your Content
You retain ownership of content you post ("User Content"). You are solely responsible for your User Content and confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to share it. By posting, you grant INJA a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, use, reproduce, modify, display, moderate, and distribute your User Content as needed to operate, protect, improve, and promote the Service.
5.2 Content Guidelines
User Content must not:

- Infringe intellectual property rights
- Contain personal information of others without consent
- Include private addresses, precise live locations, or images of other people without permission
- Violate any applicable laws
5.3 Content Removal
We reserve the right to remove, restrict, or decline to promote any User Content that violates these Terms, our Community Guidelines, or applicable law. We may use automated tools, AI moderation, user reports, and manual review, but we do not undertake a general obligation to monitor all User Content. Live session content may expire when the session ends; other content remains subject to the retention rules in our Privacy Policy.
5.4 Reporting Illegal Content and Appeals
You can report illegal content, harmful content, or content that violates these Terms through the in-app reporting tools or by contacting [email protected]. Please include enough information for us to locate and review the content, such as the post, session, Gathering, profile, screenshot, URL, or other identifying details.
Our Digital Services Act contact point for users and authorities is [email protected]. We can communicate in English and German. If we remove content, restrict visibility, suspend an account, or decline to act on a report, affected users may appeal by emailing that address with the relevant account and content details. We review appeals in a timely, non-discriminatory, and non-arbitrary manner and do not decide appeals solely through automated tools.
6. Location-Based Features
INJA uses your location to provide core features. By enabling location access, you understand that:
- Your proximity to locations is checked to enable joining sessions (within 200m)
- You must be physically present at a location to participate in sessions there
- Falsifying your location is a violation of these Terms
- Location data is handled according to our Privacy Policy
7. AI Features
INJA includes AI-powered features such as City Pulse planning, session summaries, moderation support, translation, and landmark identification. You acknowledge that:
- AI-generated content may not always be accurate, complete, current, or safe for your specific situation
- We are not responsible for decisions you make based solely on AI-generated information
- You should verify important information independently
- AI features may be subject to third-party terms from providers such as Google Gemini or Groq
8. Points, Badges, and Rewards
INJA offers a gamification system including points, badges, and leaderboards:
- Points and badges have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash
- We reserve the right to modify the rewards system at any time
- Abuse or gaming of the rewards system may result in account suspension
9. Third-Party Services
The Service may contain links to or integrations with third-party services (e.g., event providers, map/place services, and city-information sources). We are not responsible for third-party content, privacy practices, or terms.
INJA may display third-party events, place details, city utility links, opening hours, prices, links, directions, ticket information, and other local information. We do not create, verify, endorse, or guarantee third-party content. Details may be incomplete, outdated, cancelled, unsafe, or inaccurate. You are responsible for checking official sources before relying on any event, venue, route, offer, or local recommendation.
10. Intellectual Property
INJA and its original content (excluding User Content), features, and functionality are owned by INJA and protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Copyright Notice: All INJA software, mobile applications, website design, and original content are Copyright © 2024-2026 INJA. All Rights Reserved. The INJA codebase is proprietary and confidential. 11. Termination
11.1 By You
You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon deletion, your data will be removed according to our Privacy Policy. If you cannot access the app, use our public account and data deletion page.
11.2 By Us
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine, in our sole discretion, is harmful to other users or the Service.
12. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:
- The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
- Content or information will be accurate or reliable
- The Service will meet your specific requirements
13. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INJA SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES. THIS INCLUDES ANY DAMAGES ARISING FROM OFFLINE INTERACTIONS, MEETUPS, OR GATHERINGS ORGANIZED THROUGH THE SERVICE.
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US, IF ANY, IN THE PAST TWELVE MONTHS.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless INJA and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your User Content, your hosted or attended Gathering, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of another person's rights.
15. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany, without regard to conflict of law principles. If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not limit mandatory consumer protections that apply in your country of residence.
Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us at [email protected] so we can try to resolve the issue informally. We do not require consumers to use mandatory arbitration. Arbitration, mediation, or another alternative dispute resolution process will apply only if both sides separately agree to it or if it is required by applicable law.
Unless mandatory consumer-protection law gives you another forum, disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be submitted to the courts of Karlsruhe, Germany. EU consumers may also use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/odr.
16. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
17. General Provisions
- Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, other provisions remain in effect.
- Waiver: Our failure to enforce a right does not waive that right.
- Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and INJA regarding the Service.
- Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign our rights freely.
18. Contact Us
If you have questions about these Terms, please contact us:
- Email: [email protected]
- Address: Hossein Shirali & Mahshid Mohammad Zadeh, Durmersheimer Str. 84, 76185 Karlsruhe, Germany
19. Copyright Infringement and Takedowns
We respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect users to do the same. If you believe that content on INJA infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, please contact our copyright contact at [email protected] with the following information:
- A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
- The location of the infringing material within INJA (e.g., session ID, post ID, screenshot)
- Your contact information (email, phone number, and address)
- A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is unauthorized
- A statement under penalty of perjury that your notice is accurate and you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner
- Your physical or electronic signature
We will review notices and remove or disable access to allegedly infringing content where required by applicable law. We may notify the user who posted the content and allow a response or counter-notice where the law requires or permits it. Repeat infringers may have their accounts terminated.
For U.S. DMCA notices, your notice should include the information required by 17 U.S.C. 512(c)(3). To claim full DMCA safe-harbor protection, a service provider must also register a designated agent with the U.S. Copyright Office; this Terms section is a public takedown contact and does not by itself complete that external registration.
